About Us

About Us

Our Mission

Beautiful People’s mission is to build bridges between children with disabilities, their families, and the broader community of Orange County by providing adaptive sports for children and young adults ages 5 and up.

Our Vision

We are a community sports organization that enables joy, inspires hope, and fulfills dreams among children with disabilities and their families. We see that vision playing out in significant positive changes observed by parents, such as improved socialization, boosted self-esteem, enhanced coordination, agility, strength, and mobility in a way that only sports and physical activity can provide.

Our History

Beautiful People is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization founded in 2006 in Warwick, NY. Our first endeavor began in 2007 with a baseball program in conjunction with Miracle League, a national organization that has been providing baseball for children with disabilities since 2000.

Beautiful People Adaptive Sports, the largest adaptive sports organization in Orange County, NY, began with a vision to offer inclusive athletic opportunities for individuals of all ability levels. Since its inception, the organization has expanded its programming to include a diverse range of sports such as soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, hockey, and horseback riding, catering to both children and young adults. A significant milestone came in the summer of 2018 with the grand opening of the Field of Dreams, a fully adaptive, rubberized baseball field situated in Wickham Woodlands, Warwick, NY. This state-of-the-art facility, along with other partner location sites throughout Orange County, has been instrumental in making sports accessible to all, embodying the organization’s commitment to inclusivity and community collaboration.
